 The cleaning process of the raw bird’s nest takes about 5 days from removing the impurities in the raw bird’s nest to the finished goods. This cleaning process is a very time-consuming process and requires good eyesight and endurance. In today’s market, many unethical companies practice unethical ways to clean the raw bird’s nests and violate the traditional culture of cleaning bird’s nest due to the increasing demand for bird’s nest and China’s two-child policy. In order to strive for huge profits, these unethical company used various unethical methods, such as adding chemicals and bleaching agents to increase the production, making consumers worries about the food safety.

In order to protect the traditional culture of natural bird’s nest and ensure the quality of the G Nest’s products, we have set up our own processing plant, where we can control all the process from the source to the finished goods. In the bird’s nest processing plant in Malaysia, all the operator in processing plant of G Nest Malaysia are skilled personnel trained by the company. The processing plant of G Nest Malaysia can accommodate up to 120 professional workers, where the bird’s nest is cleaned manually with filtered water. In terms of hygiene, all workers must be fully equipped before entering the processing room, such as headgear, personal protective equipment (PPE), masks, gloves, and sanitary shoes.

Our bird nest factory processing plant are fully complies with the international food certification. In order to achieve the best quality bird’s nest for all the batches, the processing plant have separate processing room, such as brushing/grinding room, water purification room, hair picking room, shaping room, air-drying room, heat treatment room, inspection room, and packaging room to ensure that all the bird’s nest meets the international food hygiene standards. In this way, customers can enjoy G Nest’s product with peace of mind and agents can focus on market development.

1st Step

Proper PPE

All the workers and visitors must wear proper PPE before entering the processing workshops since the processing procedures are fully complies with the international food certification.

Step

Classification of the raw bird’s nest

The raw bird’s nest can be divided into light, medium, and heavy hairs. Therefore, it is necessary to classify the raw bird’s nest according to the amount of hairs so that the workers can clean the bird’s nest separately and decide the quality of products that can be produced.

Step

Cleaning the surrounding debris

In the first step of cleaning the raw bird’s nest, the workers need to remove the heavy debris and large hairs around, so that the following workers can easily pick up the fine hairs.

Step

Hand-picking the impurities

After the surrounding debris are removed, the supervisor will allocate 15-20 pieces of raw bird’s nest to the professional hair picker. The traditional picking method can be divided into dry picking, semi-dry picking, wet picking, and semi-wet picking. Therefore, raw bird’s nest with different level of cleanliness will need different picking methods, where the water used in the cleaning process is RO purified water.

Step

Inspection on the bird’s nest

After each piece of bird’s nest has been cleaned, the supervisor will check whether the cleanliness of each piece of bird’s nest has reached the standard. If the level of cleanliness does not meet the standard, the professional hair picker will need to re-pick the bird’s nest to ensure that all the bird’s nest meets the standard before proceed to the next steps, which are shaping and moulding.

Step

Shaping and moulding

The bird’s nest will be sent to the shaping room for shaping and moulding because the shape of the bird’s nest will be deformed after the picking process. According to the different density and sizes of bird’s nests, it will be shaped into filament, dense filament, sparse filament, or fragment in the market.

Bird Nest Air dry

After shaping and moulding is air-drying, which takes about 1 night. It is necessary to maintain a certain degree of temperature and humidity in the drying room. In this way, customers will not have the problem of receiving goods with lesser weighing.

Bird Nest Heat Treatment

In order to comply with international food hygiene standards, every piece of bird’s nest must be heat treament after air-drying process to ensure that the bird’s nest is completely free from contamination.

Final Step

Bird Nest Packing

The bird’s nest will be sent to the packaging room after sterilization, where the workers will classify the bird’s nest according to type, such as dry picking, dense filament, sparse filament, fragment, and fine grains and pack them with different packaging. The whole process from the raw bird’s nest to the finished goods will takes five days, before a natural bird’s nest can be presented to customers. Our bird’s nest products are healthy food that is completely free from pollution, bleaching, and additives.
